Baseball Recap: Eunice's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

While Eunice's victory against Jal wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Panthers 4-3 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jose Calvillo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Fernando Serna, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Eunice's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Jal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eunice will head out to face off against Lovington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Jal, they are taking a road trip to square off against Loving at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
