Baseball Recap: Marshall Academy Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Marshall Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the North Delta Green Wave on Tuesday by a score of 5-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now won six in a row.

Phillip Sharpe was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kyler Todd, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Marshall Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive matches.

Marshall Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Delta, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.
