Football Recap: Ranburne Comes Up Short

Ranburne had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-2 to make it six. They were dealt a 56-7 loss at the hands of the Reeltown Rebels. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

As for Reeltown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. That looming 56-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Leading Reeltown to victory were Traylen Roberts and Alijah Woods. Roberts rushed for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Woods gained 109 total yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalvante 'Tre' Smith, who rushed for 59 yards and one TD.

Ranburne has already played their next match, a 50-14 defeat against Central of Coosa County on the 19th. As for Reeltown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 73-49 victory against Loachapoka on the 19th.
