Baseball Game Preview: Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack vs. Reavis Rams

The Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack will take on the Reavis Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Saint Ignatius College Prep nor Reavis posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Saint Ignatius College Prep fell victim to Nazareth Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Roadrunners by a score of 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their meetings with the Roadrunners: they've now lost three in a row.

Saint Ignatius College Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Hites, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Reavis lost 7-1 to Downers Grove South on Monday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reavis also got a good showing from Juan Avila, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Avila has allowed since back in March.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 11-23. As for Reavis, their loss dropped their record down to 23-12.
