The Largo Packers will take on the Tarpon Springs Spongers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Largo has three straight wins, Tarpon Springs has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Largo had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Canterbury on Wednesday. The Packers blew past the Crusaders 17-2. The Packers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Laila Weber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Miranda Rollins was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and one double. Claire Meloy was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Largo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Tarpon Springs' offense. They came up short against Northeast on Thursday, falling 15-0.
Largo pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Tarpon Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
Everything went Largo's way against Tarpon Springs in their previous meeting back in March, as Largo made off with a 16-0 victory. Will the Packers repeat their success, or do the Spongers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
