Basketball Recap: Carolina International Takes a Loss

Carolina International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots, falling 58-10. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 67-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Allasha Houser, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards for Piedmont Community Charter. Houser has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Julianna East was another key player, putting up seven points.

Carolina International's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Piedmont Community Charter, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Carolina International wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-13 defeat against Piedmont Community Charter on the 30th. As for Piedmont Community Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-24 win against Sugar Creek Charter on the 28th.
