Baseball Recap: Erwin's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Erwin had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 6-8 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Enka Jets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-6 two weeks ago.

As for Enka, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

For Enka's part, Deegan Randall was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Randall has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Randall wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Camden Crook, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
