Volleyball Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

Sayre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Penn-Liberty Mountie, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redskins of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Sayre was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-17.

Sayre's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sayre will face off against rival Wellsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Penn-Liberty is set to challenge their familiar foe Wyalusing Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
