Baseball Recap: Manchester Township Takes a Loss

Manchester Township was the 2-0 winner over Lacey Township when they last played one another on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks fell 5-1 to the Lions on Friday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manchester Township saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Stapon, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Stapon has hit this season.

Manchester Township's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Lacey Township, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Coming up, Manchester Township will host Howell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lacey Township, they will head out on the road to challenge Holmdel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
