Gate City came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Lee Generals get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Gate City might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Lee with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Walker Hillman (2), Joe Arrington (2), Carson Stephens, and Garrett McLain.

Gate City's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those eight games. As for Lee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
