Glenbrook North extended their winning streak to seven on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 9-7 in the process. Everything went their way against the Lakes Eagles as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Lakes, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Lakes' part, Zoey Christian was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenbrook North will venture away from home to square off against Glenbrook South at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakes, they will head out to take on Grant Community at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
