Softball Game Preview: Franklin Quakers vs. Foster Bulldogs

The Franklin Quakers will head out on the road to challenge the Foster Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin will be strutting in after a victory while Foster will be coming in after a loss.

Franklin was handed a 16-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ingraham, sneaking past 13-12. The high-scoring effort was just what the Quakers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Foster was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 16-1 to Interlake.

Foster saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Princess Noa, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Noa is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. A'Mya Johnson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Foster, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
