After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Valley, Corning was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Oroville Tigers by a score of 4-0. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Anna Cayetano, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexys Lynch, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Corning's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Oroville, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coming up, Corning is taking a road trip to take on West Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Oroville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against CORE Butte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
