Basketball Recap: Linville Hill Makes It 20 in a Row at Home

Linville Hill waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Ephrata Mennonite Legends 57-28. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Linville Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stephen Smucker, who went 10 of 16 en route to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Derian Peterseim, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Linville Hill pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for Ephrata Mennonite, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Linville Hill has already played their next contest (against High Point Baptist Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ephrata Mennonite will face off against York Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
