Basketball Game Preview: Bayou Academy Colts vs. Lewisburg Patriots

The Bayou Academy Colts will square off against the Lewisburg Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Bayou Academy challenged Pillow Academy on Monday. Bayou Academy lost 53-32 to Pillow Academy. The Colts have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Lewisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 50-37 to Horn Lake.

Lewisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-24. As for Bayou Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Bayou Academy won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, slipping by Lewisburg 52-51. Does Bayou Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lewisburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
