While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Lucy Beckham who was credited with the victory. Lucy Beckham got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Philip Simmons' two.

Porter-Gaud pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those four games. As for Philip Simmons, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1.

Everything went Porter-Gaud's way against Philip Simmons when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Porter-Gaud made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Porter-Gaud since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
