Basketball Recap: Lake Travis Victorious

Lake Travis won the last time they faced Judson, and Adrian Mathis did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lake Travis Cavaliers snuck past the Judson Rockets with a 57-53 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Mathis, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 22 points along with seven boards and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Jaxon Shaver was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds. Those five boards gave him a new career-high.

Lake Travis' victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Judson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Lake Travis will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Michael's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St. Michael's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches. As for Judson, they will venture away from home to face off against Cypress Woods at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Woods has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
