Volleyball Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Oak Ridge Pioneers, falling 3-0. If the Fightin' Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-10.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Oak Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jones will welcome Colonial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oak Ridge, they will face off against Boone at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
