Softball Recap: Casey County Comes Up Short

Casey County lost against Larue County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rebels fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rebels have suffered since April 26, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Casey County and nudges their season record down to 8-8. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Larue County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Casey County has already played their next contest (against Perry County Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Larue County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 win against Southwestern on the 19th.
