Bellmont finds playoff glory versus Oak Hill

Recap: Bellmont Braves vs. Oak Hill Golden Eagles

With a playoff game on the line, the Bellmont Braves rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 42-31 victory over the Golden Eagles. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bellmont.

Despite the loss, Oak Hill saw an underclassman step up: Lydia Trexler scored ten points. Trexler is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Alivia Shaw was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.

Bellmont has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Oak Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Bellmont will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Northwestern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Braves are ranked 66th). Oak Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
