Basketball Game Preview: Corbin Redhounds vs. North Laurel Jaguars

Corbin hasn't had much luck against North Laurel recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Corbin Redhounds will take on the North Laurel Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Corbin ended up a good deal behind Blazer and lost 87-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (70), the Redhounds still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Laurel duked it out withClay County on Friday. North Laurel fell 70-63 to Clay County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Jaguars still had to take the loss.

Corbin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for North Laurel, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.

Corbin came up short against North Laurel in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 75-71. Can Corbin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
