Soccer Recap: Draughn Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Draughn took on Hibriten on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Draughn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 536th, while Hibriten are ranked 142nd).

Draughn dropped their record down to 0-13-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Hibriten, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5-1.

Draughn has already played their next match, a 10-1 loss against West Caldwell on the 20th. As for Hibriten, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 win against R-S Central on the 20th.
