Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Regis Groff

Lincoln hasn't had much luck against Regis Groff recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fusion at 6:30 p.m.

Things were looking good for Lincoln after they put the first goal on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thomas Jefferson.

Meanwhile, Regis Groff earned a 3-1 win over Montbello on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Regis Groff's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Montbello are ranked 101st).

Regis Groff's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three matches. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1.
