It was a good run, but Johns Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Alpharetta Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gladiators of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Their offense was headlined by Hana Catic and Sara Buoni, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Adonia Haile and her 13 assists.

Johns Creek's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Alpharetta, the victory was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-1.

Looking ahead, Johns Creek will welcome Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alpharetta, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Milton on the 6th.
