Soccer Game Preview: Braxton County vs. Pocahontas County

The Braxton County Eagles will square off against the Pocahontas County Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Braxton County is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Sissonville just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Pocahontas County kept a clean sheet against Petersburg on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings. Considering Pocahontas County have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Pocahontas County's win bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Braxton County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1.

Braxton County took their victory against Pocahontas County in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
