Basketball Game Preview: Fairview Apaches vs. Delta Panthers

The Fairview Apaches will take on the Delta Panthers in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Delta will come in with four straight wins.

Fairview is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Fremont on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Fairview was outmatched by Fremont and fell 68-40. The Apaches were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.

Meanwhile, Delta hadn't done well against Wauseon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Delta strolled past Wauseon with points to spare, taking the game 36-21.

Delta pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
