Soccer Recap: Lower Richland Comes Up Short

Lower Richland lost against Gilbert back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Diamond Hornets lost 8-3 to the Indians. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Lower Richland were already down 6-0.

Lower Richland's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Gilbert, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lower Richland will head out to face off against South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Florence will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Lower Richland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gilbert, they are taking a road trip to take on Airport at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Gilbert are facing Airport at the right time seeing as Airport are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
