Football Recap: King Takes Down Corliss in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, King rose to the challenge on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-6 win over the Corliss Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

King found their leader in sophomore Jamar Lewis, who rushed for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. Lewis has become a key player for the Jaguars: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

King was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 304 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

King's record is now 7-4. As for Corliss, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

As of now, neither King nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
