Basketball Game Preview: Granite City Warriors vs. Alton Redbirds

Granite City hasn't had much luck against Alton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Granite City Warriors will be playing at home against the Alton Redbirds at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Granite City beat Riverview Gardens 33-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Alton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They breezed past the Kahoks to the tune of 67-27. The Redbirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Alton's win bumped their record up to 28-2. As for Granite City, their victory bumped their record up to 12-17.
