Rich took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs by a score of 27-14. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row dating back to last season.

Rich got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wilkes Weston out in front who rushed for 97 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Those 97 rushing yards gave Weston a new career-high. Rich also got a significant boost from Jett Holmes, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 99 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rich will take on Milford on Friday. This will be the Rebels' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Gunnison Valley, they will square off against Providence Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
