Volleyball Recap: Broome Centurions vs. Mountain View Prep Stars

Broome suffered their biggest loss since September 3rd on Thursday. They came up short against the Mountain View Prep Stars, falling 3-0. The Centurions haven't had much luck with the Stars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Broome was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-14.

Kalyn Norris paced Broome's offense, picking up ten kills. Norris were helped by Kourtney Wofford and Hannah Cooksey, who contributed 13 assists each. Diamond Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mountain View Prep found their leader in sophomore Lexi Cheek, who had 13 digs and six aces. Cheek is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Broome's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Mountain View Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Looking ahead, Broome will challenge Chapman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View Prep, they will take on Andrew Jackson at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
