Soccer Game Preview: Hamshire-Fannett vs. East Chambers

Hamshire-Fannett hasn't had much luck against East Chambers recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns will square off against the East Chambers Buccaneers at 5:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hamshire-Fannett is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to Livingston. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Longhorns couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, East Chambers had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was East Chambers who was credited with the victory. East Chambers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Livingston's three. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Lions are ranked 652nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Chambers' win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Hamshire-Fannett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Hamshire-Fannett might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from East Chambers in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Hamshire-Fannett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
