It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wagner had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans. The victory continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Wagner took Mt. Vernon/Plankinton into a fifth set where they got it done with a 12-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-15, 24-26, 15-3.

Hannah Holzbauer paced Wagner's offense, picking up 30 kills. Holzbauer got some help from Braxton Nedved and her 63 assists.

Wagner's win bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 18 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-21 record this season.

As of now, neither Wagner nor Mt. Vernon/Plankinton have any future games scheduled.
