Baseball Recap: Athens Comes Up Short

Athens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Camden-Frontier Redskins, falling 26-2. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 10-2 to the Redskins when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Athens' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Camden-Frontier, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Athens will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Burr Oak at 5:00 p.m. As for Camden-Frontier, they have already played their next contest, a 7-2 defeat against Lenawee Christian on the 19th.
