Volleyball Recap: Finley Corona and Juliet Tassio Secure Win for Christopher + How To Watch

Christopher won the last time they faced Piedmont Hills and things went their way on Monday too. The Cougars walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pirates.

Christopher was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-11, 19-25, 25-18.

Leading Christopher to victory were Juliet Tassio and Finley Corona. Tassio had 16 digs, while Corona had 16 digs, 15 kills, and two aces. Those 16 digs gave Tassio a new career-high.

Piedmont Hills' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Katelyn Young, who had five digs and two aces, and Mary-An Nguyen, who had nine kills and nine digs. Eden Ng also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Christopher's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Piedmont Hills, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-6.

Christopher wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Silver Creek on the 10th. As for Piedmont Hills, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Ann Sobrato on the 10th.
