The Cypress Creek Bears will challenge the Harmony Longhorns at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Cypress Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Tohopekaliga with a sharp 13-7 victory. The Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Cypress Creek let Roger Silva and Jesus Barreto run wild. Silva scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Barreto scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Those two hits gave Silva a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryan Puello, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Cypress Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Harmony entered their tilt with Melbourne Central Catholic on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Hustlers 14-7. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Raul Romay looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Matt Grau was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Scrofani, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Harmony pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Cypress Creek, they moved to 10-16 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Cypress Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Harmony in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, sneaking past 8-6. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
