Basketball Game Preview: Agua Fria Owls vs. Estrella Foothills Wolves

The Agua Fria Owls and the Estrella Foothills Wolves will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Agua Fria will bounce into Friday's game after beating Cactus, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Agua Fria managed a 52-48 win over Cactus on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Estrella Foothills earned a 60-52 victory over Gila Ridge on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Estrella Foothills' win came from a few key players Agua Fria will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brayden Chojnowski, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hone Wray, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

Agua Fria is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Estrella Foothills, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
