Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fisher Catholic). They put the hurt on the Northside Christian Lions with a sharp 26-0 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Irish sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Lauren Kersell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Harper Kline was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Funk, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
