Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fisher Catholic). They put the hurt on the Northside Christian Lions with a sharp 26-0 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Irish sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Lauren Kersell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Harper Kline was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Funk, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Fisher Catholic pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Northside Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Fisher Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
