Softball Recap: Woodbridge Takes a Loss

If Woodbridge was riding high fresh off their 16-2 takedown of Potomac Senior on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Wildcats on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Mya Foster made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Woodbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Woodbridge will take on Hylton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will square off against Spotsylvania at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
