Caledonia lost against East Grand Rapids two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fighting Scots fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 2-1. The Fighting Scots' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Aubrey Reynolds paced Caledonia's offense, picking up nine kills. Reynolds got some help from Reese Stafford and her 18 assists. Quinn Zeigler controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

East Grand Rapids' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Winkel led the charge by getting 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Winkel a new career-high.

Caledonia's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for East Grand Rapids, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.

Coincidentally, Caledonia and East Grand Rapids will both be playing Christian the next time they take the court. The Fighting Scots will head out to face the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Pioneers will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
