Casen Cooper and John Thornton did some serious damage despite the final result: Cooper scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Thornton went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Thornton hit this season. Gaige Funk was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
