Softball Recap: Blazer Comes Up Short

Blazer managed to slip by Boyd County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tomcats came up short against the Lions on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Tomcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Blazer now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Boyd County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blazer will venture away from home to take on Male at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Boyd County, they will head out to challenge Lincoln County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
