Lakeway Christian Academy faced Science Hill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilltoppers. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Lakeway Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-15.

Lakeway Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Carley Cameron and Essie Jett. Cameron had 11 digs and seven assists, while Jett had three digs and one assist.

Isa Dau went supernova For Science Hill., getting 19 digs and five assists. That's the most digs Dau has posted over her last seven matches. Sofia Pavlovich also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
