Basketball Recap: Kirtland Central Takes a Loss

If Kirtland Central was feeling good fresh off their 58-35 takedown of Crownpoint last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kirtland Central Broncos took a hard 72-53 fall against the Navajo Prep Eagles on Wednesday. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Kirtland Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Navajo Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kirtland Central will host Espanola Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Espanola Valley has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. As for Navajo Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Las Vegas at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in West Las Vegas' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
