The Northwestern Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Meade Mustangs on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

Alberto Weaver made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last four times he's played.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Meade, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

The future could be bright for both Northwestern and Meade: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Wildcats will try to hand Bladensburg their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Meade will look to extend Glen Burnie's six-game losing streak when they meet at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
