Baseball Recap: Tomball Memorial Comes Up Short

Tomball Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-6 to the Magnolia West Mustangs. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Jake Barron made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Collins Turner was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Tomball Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 14-13-1. As for Magnolia West, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tomball Memorial is set to challenge their familiar foe Klein at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Magnolia West will take on rival Magnolia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
