Softball Game Preview: Greenfield Hawks vs. Cudahy Packers

Greenfield is a perfect 10-0 against Cudahy since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hawks will take on the Packers at 4:30 p.m. Cudahy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Greenfield, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Greenfield turned things around against Palmyra-Eagle on Monday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 14-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Erin Brielmaier was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Brielmaier was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Greenfield got a massive performance out of Grace Mysliwy, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Mysliwy a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cali Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Cudahy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 19-0 to South Milwaukee.

Cudahy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Greenfield, their record is now 5-8.

Greenfield got the 'W' in their previous meeting two weeks ago against Cudahy by a conclusive 18-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
