Softball Recap: Franklin County Tech Gets the Win

Franklin County Tech hadn't done well against Turners Falls recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 10-6 win over the Indians. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Indians back in April, they had to take a 9-2 loss.

Brayleigh Burgh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Lindsey Taylor was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Franklin County Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Franklin County Tech and bumps their season record up to 5-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Turners Falls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin County Tech will host Wahconah Regional at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Turners Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Greylock Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mounties have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
