Volleyball Recap: Taunton Comes Up Short

Taunton lost against Attleboro back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Bombardiers, falling 3-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Taunton took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 26-24.

Leading Attleboro to victory were Sage Young and Lilliana Wiese. Young had 12 digs and one assist, while Wiese had four aces. Young has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played. Amia Channer also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Taunton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Attleboro, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Taunton will take on rival Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Attleboro is set to square off against their familiar foe Milford at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
