Softball Recap: Okeechobee Comes Up Short

The Okeechobee Brahmans came up short against the King's Academy Lions on Friday and fell 14-11.

Melaine Bonilla and Audra Friend did some serious damage despite the final result: Bonilla went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs, while Friend went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Haylee Pendrey, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for King's Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Okeechobee will square off against Lincoln Park Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King's Academy, they will challenge West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
